Hole in my Seat Frame?? Photo

I have 2A seats in my 3A. �I would post this question on the 2A site, but I am not a member there. �On the back cross member of the driver seat, there is a 3/8" hole and if you look inside, it is threaded. �Does anyone know what this is here for?

I had the same question when I refinished my seats.  Mine was plugged up with weld so I didn't use it.  After mounting the seat without it, I decided to go back and drill it out and retap it.  It made a HUGE difference in making the seat more stable!

Of course, I discovered this AFTER sandblasting/painting the frames and recovering the seat
