So the box is between the engine and the regular transmission?

No it is: Engine, T90, mysterybox, Transfercase

So it's able to be engaged in 2x4 or 4x4 hi-lo does not matter because the T18 that engages 4x4 hi or low is after it.

I guess it turns your jeep into a tractor.  Are you using the throttle?  What are the fender lights...turns or running lights?  How do you control the mystery box and what exactly is it doing?

No throttle, just iddle� tons of torque iddes up just about everything as long as the tires have grip. Fender lights are turn signals

I really like that. Does it have any identification markings on it?

There is a small number 3 stamped in the case and that is it. No manufacturer name or anything else.
