I wondered if anyone could give me the model or number of the toyota 4.2 starter shown in the picture with an air compressor beside it fitted on a grey engine , my tel number is 01548521278 I sell willys mb and cj2 jeeps with the standard small clutch and wondered if this starter would be ok for any 12 volt conversions i do, Im not a fan of the reduction gear type as they are noisy but i like the look of that one in the picture, direct drive

would anyone be able to tell me the serial number of the toyota 4.2L direct drive starter seen fitted to the gray engine , I wondered if it would fit a ww2 or Hotchkiss m201 engine , they have 10 tooth starters that are 1.5 inch diameter, I can cut the nose cone off lengthen the holes, reduce the diameter of the end of the spindle by putting it going in a vice and holding a grinder to the end until diameter is right , greatly hoping someone can help with this as so many people out there are using the 6 volt crash bang inertia starters with 12 volt battery's and mashing up their ring gear

It would be great to help so many people get a reasonably priced 12 volt pre engaged direct drive starter and all these 12 volt converted jeeps would sound so much more refined on start up

I don't have a part number for the starter I used and iif I did it would be from the rebuilders. Its not an original part. Its re manufactured. But the application is for a Toyota Landcruiser with a 4.2L in line 6 cylinder. Mid 1960's ear I believe.
