Pioneer tools
« on: January 28, 2019, 06:46:11 AM »
Good morning gentlemen. I have a question Im hoping one of you can answer for me. My Jeep is a cj3a that has taken on the looks of an m38. My question is if I wanted to add the pioneer axe n shovel would they fit right without the indentions in the body.  Thanks again for any and all answers and help.

Hi Terry,
My experience is the tools will stand off the surface too much to be constrained if using the standard tool bracket mounts.  I cut the slots in.

Interesting idea. Something I didnt think about. I still have plenty of paint left so that is something I might do this coming summer. Thanks for the idea and the pic. If you can post any measurements I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again for all the help.          Terry b

I used "jpets" drawings shown in this post at the 2A Page.

My one recommendation...If you do this, cut out one hole at a time. Weld in the indent, then cut out the second hole.  I cut both holes at the same time.  I had a hard time keeping the steel from warping while welding the indent in place.  If you do them one at a time, you should be able to keep the warping to a minimum.
