Replacement sests
« on: March 04, 2016, 08:51:56 PM »
Looking for suggestions on suitable seats to replace originals. Something with higher backs and a headrest, maybe some side bolsters too. I'd like to find something with a close fit without too much fabbing. What's in your cj?

Daniel ..... Try looking at "racing seats" at Summit Racing.  Lots of choices on types and price.  These seats are designed to fit in almost anything.  http://www.summitracing.com/search/section/seats/part-type/racing-seats?N=4294949995%2B4294895439&SortBy=Default&SortOrder=Ascending

CJ5 and CJ7 seats are also a very popular swaps into the earlier Willys.  Head to any junk yard and you can probably find a set pretty cheap.  You will have to fab up the mounting bracket.....or you can Bubba fit it like my jeep was.  The previous owner simply cut off the back of the stock seat frames and welded the new seats to the stock bottom.
