Don't know how many are on east coast of Florida and now apparently getting missed but we are right on her track so tomorrow afternoon it will either go a little west of us or right over  us. Staying put and prepped as best we think. Had Charlie land north of us and Wilma landed south of us so like artillery fire they have us bracketed ;)

How did you fare SteveW?

My grandmother used to spend winters in a mobile home in Big Pine Key back in the 80-90's.  . .   One of my niece's found a recent satellite image of it, after Irma.   Still standing, but all the trees etc around it look flattened.    Amazing it survived,  but possibly the concrete-block additions,  front and back,  kept it from blowing away.  :o

Normal is now a relative term. Finally got internet back today, that was last tech problem to overcome. We came within 1/4" of the house flooded. If the eye had not broken up we would have been flooded. Power came back on Tuesday which was good for us and a lot of the area where I live it took a week for most and some even longer. The eye went right over us as Irma turned right inland when it landed at Marco Island and tracked right up I-75. We are 2 miles west of I-75 in a place called San Carlos Park just south of exit 128. The heavy rains from a front that sat on us for 3 days from Hurricane Harvey was biggest contributor to all of the wide spread flooding as the ground was so saturated from that it had no way to drain. I got some pics when things get sorted out and 2 things we prepared for that helped enormously after the storm. Quite an experience.

Still some parts of County flooded with people unable to go home or only with boats or buggies. Changes your way of thinking and what is important for sure
