Just returned from 5,000+ miles towing my 3A from WV to Utah and back. Aluma 7814 trailer. Was a very good tow for my 2011 Tacoma 4 cylinder. Touch expensive but needed something light weight and this with the 3A on board hit my 3,500 pound limit.

Went to try the 3A out in the Henry Mountains near Hanksville (Bull Creek Pass) then to Canyonlands to do Elephant Hill (last done in 1965 and 1967... getting old you know). Did both, went well. Elephant Hill is worse than it used to be or at least re-routed to include more "hills". I was happy to find that a 64 year old jeep still does what it was supposed to do. Surprised not to find a single other flat fender out there, even in Moab.

Does the enclosed trailer have some rings in the floor for securing the. jeep in case you have a hard stop?

That would save me some buck Stops!

The one I looked at had tie down rings.

There are two D rings up front and two at the rear. I used the MAC  straps ( axle straps and ratchet straps). Worked very well. Read about the straps and towing a jeep  in the Petersen 4WD mag. Need to check the tightness after driving a while and re-rateck the ties. I had no problems at all. The mag said to put your jeep in 4wd low as extra protection.I did, don't know if that is essential.

I recommend a wood deck. Things slide very easy on diamond plate, if you decide to haul anything else besides vehicles.

I purchased a 16' wood deck utility trailer 18 years ago.  New deck three years ago.  Use a wood treatment each year.  Do not use old motor oil, it will stain your jeans when hooking up the Jeep.  Utility trailers have a rail around the edge.  Finely this past summer I installed brakes on the front axel.  Four wheel brakes really make stopping safer.

I use 5/16" chains with binders, I have slip hooks on one end and hook them to the C shackles and the other end into the stake pockets on the trailer. I also load the Jeep backwards, seems to balance better and no chance of the windshield catching air..... An enclosed trailer is on my "wants list", most have D rings in the floor.
