A GOOD WEEK
« on: June 30, 2012, 04:15:02 PM »
I have had a very good week and owe a lot of it to the fact that I was able to be a member of this website. I have also had help from the G503 and 2A sites but I consider the 3A site home base. Many of you have helped me directly and I surely appreciate that. I have met some really nice folks here and that process is ongoing. The main good news is that CJ3A drives now and actually very well. I haven't driven very far, but it no longer has the shakes or any weird noises. Couldn't have done this without you're help. The next good news is the fellow who misrepresented this Jeep when he sold it to me was served papers on Thursday to let him know that August 29 he can explain his actions to a Judge in court. Even if I get nothing at least I will have tried to even up a little. Will try to add some pics of the 3A taken this morning.

Mac, she looks real good now. So, does that mean you will be Jeepin' with Calvin and me in September? I sure am looking forward to it.

Is it going to small claims court? I hope he has to pay you for your troubles. People should not get by with lying even though the Supreme Court said it's legal to lie. That was in reference to people saying they were in war and got medals for events. So now it's legal to say you received the Medal of Honor when you didn't even serve in the Military. There should be nine hangings for that judgement.

I hope this court thing turns out ok but I am not going to lie, exaggerate or try to mislead anyone. Honesty has served me well and that's what I'll stay with. I will accept what the court rules and move on. Going to do my best to meet you and Calvin in Blanding in Sept. Mac

Mac,
ï¿½Very well done. Looks really great.

ï¿½Good luck at your hearing. I would really like to see justice done. You deserve it and the culprit deserves to squirm.
ï¿½Certainly hope it works out for you to "help" Carl and I ride the trails around here in Sept. Here's a couple of pics to further entice you.

We drove into the mountains to the north today because it was such a hot First of July. Even there we stopped only in the shade.

A high country meadow.

ï¿½PS: Any others that would like to join us when we puts Mac's Jeep to the test in September are welcome.

Mac,  beautiful work!  What color is that?

Calvin, do you have dates yet for Sept.?  Will it conflict with the Co. Color Tour that M38Mike puts on?  I believe his dates are Sept. 17-23.

Tom, I plan to be there from Sept 1 to Sept 30 so any time you can come will work for us. Calvin may have business to tend to some days but I am there to drive the trails.

Tom,
ï¿½It would be great to have you come on over after your Colorado Color Tour, in Salida. I have hoped each year to join that tour, but I have not yet acquired a trailer. I should make that a greater priority. We have a few beautiful Alpine roads similar to the Color Tour (but surely not as majestic as the Colorado Rockies), but most trails in my area truly require four-wheel drive. Most of them, as you've seen from my posts, are out in the deserts or in the bottom of deep canyons. Below are pics from Carl's visit last September.

ï¿½Much like Salida, in central Colorado, our weather here in Southeastern Utah is really great in the latter part of September (temps are down, gnats are gone, etc.). If you could tie a trip to Salida, and Blanding, it would be okay to come here before or after the Color Tour. As Carl said, he plans to be he the entire month of September. I will be planning to join him much of that time but not all of it. Macgraham (who started this topic--which we have pirated) plans to come sometime in September, as well. It would be great if the three of you could be here at the same time. Four CJ-3As on the trail at one time would be great. Wife/family is welcome.
