1947 Boyer Fire Jeep
« on: May 12, 2012, 10:53:52 AM »
So I know this isn't a 3A but it's a pretty nice 2A - thought you guys would like some pics. This Jeep currently resides at the little fire museum in Bangor, ME. I had heard awhile back that they had one but since the museum is only open on Saturday mornings I just hadn't been able to go investigate. Drove by today and they were open for business. The guy running it was super cool - let me paw all over this rig and even let me try and start it. Battery was dead so no luck but he had it on the charger when I left. Hopefully I can get back over there - he even said I could have a ride ;D Yes, I am 35 going on 5.

Wow, that's nice. I have heard of them but not seen one. If he does let you drive it be sure to get photo's of you driving it, I doubt you will ever have a chance like that again.

Great pics.  Thanks for sharing.
A great way to preserve a Jeep is to turn it into a fire truck then wash it, polish it, and store it in a clean fire station.
