I don't know how many people here watch Auction Kings on Discovery Channel, but it's a show about an auction house in Atlanta where people bring in items to be auctioned. Some things are interesting.
On last nights show they featured a 1946 Willys Jeep totally restored by Richard Petty's garage. It was done up in OD, stars, etc. I couldn't help yell at the screen about all the inaccuracies in the restoration that they were calling "perfect". They took the Jeep to an "expert" to validate the restoration. When the host pointed to the PTO shift and asked what the "extra shifter" was for, the EXPERT said that was "the granny gear shifter for going really slow"

He's the "expert"

The grill had M38 headlight guards, it had no backseat, the tub was an obvious 3A repop.
The "prefectly restored 1946 Willys" sold for $16,000 !!
