What would you say that exterior color is called?  I want the exact same shade of blue, and I'm sure it will be a chore to explain it to the guy at the local spray booth.

It's called "Strata Blue". Do a Google search for something like "Strata Blue M38 Navy" and you'll find all kinds of things to show to your paint guy.

It is Strata Blue and it was used by the USAF.  I have the PPG paint code at home for it. PPG was the original supplier.

Jeep is running.  I need adjust the valves again and I keep getting a strange noise from the front of the engine.

Sorry everyone I did a horrible job of keeping this post updated.  The jeep is all back together again and running.  I have not road tested it yet and am almost afraid to.
