I AM A FREEKIN IDIOT!  Wait till you hear this one.  So I thought it was time to take a little test spin down my street.  Hopped in started her up, took off down the street, running like a champ.  Then all of a sudden she dies, out of gas I think.  Push and coast black to the driveway.  Add gas, hop in....nothing.  Must be the fuel pump again.  Took it off, made sure it was OK.  Put it back in.  Hopped in, wham started right up.  Took off down the street and EXACTLY THE SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN WTF!  Coast back, get out, check everything again.  Hmmm better check the gas line.  Now I had put in a 1/4 inch neoprene line, and had some extra so I just looped it on top of the tank.  Now my seat is not bolted down and when I plopped my fat butt into the seat, the back bar pinched the line cutting off the fuel.  Duhhhhhh!!!  :D. Rerouted the Line and she runs perfect!  The speedometer even works! [ch128077]

That's a new one.   Glad you found the problem.  We could have all gone done a rabbit hole on this one. :)

Well just about time to wrap it up for this year.  Got her running and driving, no leaks except maybe a drop or two out of the rear main, but nothing I am going to worry about.  Got to start working on my combine to get it ready for harvest, so time to put her away till April.  Made HUGE progress this summer so I thought I would include a few photos that show you can fix almost anything if you are stubborn enough.

Now you can look forward to driving it and sorting out the little details here and there.  It looks great, nice work.

Well Plain Jane (yeah I named her, My Plain Jane never ware no lipstick or paint. You know shell never try to be what she aint. Bobby Darin 1959). Has been put to bed for the winter, but lots of little things to do to get her ready for the road. Windshield wiper motor for one. Got it out and took it apart. Not too bad. Inside is not pitted and the paddle seems to be OK. Had a lot of stickey grease in it I think I can just clean it out and oil it and it should run. Needs new gaskets, interesting that it uses two gaskets that are exactly alike. Can buy them for $20 but I am WAY too cheap, so will make them, some brown paper and a little Permitex #3 should do it. I have a vacuum boost fuel pump so that should help.

Well that took all day, but it was raining and I did not have anything better to do.  The results were shall we say unsatisfying.  Got the gaskets made and the insides cleaned up, took it apart and put it together a dozen times, got pretty good at it.  Kinda figured out how it works.  It seemed kind of tight, but after a while it loosened up a bit.  Only had a shop vac to try it with, but it sort of worked.  Hoping when I get it on a better vacuum source it will be ok.

You can make a cheap vacuum pump from an inexpensive fish tank air pump, should be enough to test the wipers.

Update on my progress I finally figured it out and got it working just fine.  Turns out that it works best if you remember to cut all of the vacuum holes in the gasket  ::).  So the result is that I have a working vacuum wiper and I can disassemble and put it back together in about five minutes, and have a pretty good idea how it works.  Thanks Mike, once it was cleaned oiled and put back together CORRECTLY the shop vac ran it just fine.

Wiper update, well it does not work as well as I thought it did, way too slow.  The paddle is about shot.  I did manage to find a NOS rebuild kit on eBay, so that will be going in when I get it.
