Nate's garage is the microwave of Willys restoration facilities.  Put one in there for a couple minutes and it rolls out ready to go.

Nicely done.

Thanks Randy and Ryan! Next is my '55 Chevy truck for a project.

Some more pics for you guys.

I left the original voltage regulator there so it looks like it was abandoned in place.

Really nice...but...

What's that oil filter doing way over there?

And is that an alternator?

And a 6v battery?

What am I missing...?

But it is nice, rear seat and all....

I put a 6v alternator in. The oil filter was there when I got it. Someone made a nice bracket and I didn't want to change it back. It looks like something the shop guys did at the government garage. ;)

I guess I didn't know that there was such a thing as a 6 volt alternator....But, there are 12 volt generators....anything is possible I suppose...

I didn't want to covert to 12 volts, but wanted the reliability of an alternator. Ebay is a wonderful place!

Been having loads of fun with this jeep! Today I mounted the first aid kit and antique fire extinguisher.

And some more fun pictures.

That Willys looks great!  You're going to have a real kick in the pants with that one.  8-)

I was checking out your top.  Something didn't look right.  You installed your side curtains inside out.  I'm guessing you did this on purpose so the buckles and straps don't beat up your new paint job.  You could set some footmans loops on the side like an M38 has, then use the straps.

None the less, very cool Willys.

Thanks Tim! I thought that was how the side curtains went. Logic would say that the straps go on the inside like my civvy top. Should I change them or leave them?
