Shes home !!!!

What a day. Friday, 3pm, the driver called me, he was about 2.5 hours from drop off. He's in a major snow storm, and is pulling off the road till its over.
I was already an hour south of my place, on way to meet him.
Ok, turned around and went home. Next morning, he's back on the road.
We meet in Pembina, ND. Just across the border, into the usa.

Pulls up, and we greet. He's really excited for me. Goes to unlock his trailer.... Both locks frozen.
Tried deicer, got one open. Ran around trying to find a little torch for the other. Bought one, and got the other open.

Jeep was not very happy to be taken from its nice, warm home in TN, to the frigid North!
It started after a bit. Backed it out of his enclosed and proceded to drive up into my rented enclosed 7x16.

I sent the guy, the measurements of the jeep.. Minus the added roll bar, that i completely forgot about.

BANG.... The rollbar hits the top. CRAP.....

Hunted around for a valve core tool, found a small flat screwdriver...

Pulled the valve cores on the rear tires, and it went in. JUST.

Drove the 3 hours north, and unloaded. Its resting in my garage, its -27c here this morning, and i really want to go for a DRIVE !!!!!

Oh well, maybe later...

One more question...You guys with new winches always seem to have an orange tag hanging off the end of the cable...What is that about?  It looks like the streamers they hung off propeller planes when parking..

Those tags are used to hold onto while winching the cable in. Prevents your hand from getting sucked in. ;) They are required in most public events/land.

I'm not sure if they are required on those winches. Ours doesn't have one. In fact, I've never saw one on a wrecker before.

Hey KennyK,
Sweet jeep! Congrats on the purchase.
I'm currently importing a cj3a into Canada too. Funny thing is I'm using the same boarder crossing you did.
Small world as they say.
Hope you enjoyed all the snow we got this weekend! This time last year I was golfing already :'(
