Windshield clamp color

Can anyone tell me what color the windshield clamps should be on a 3a? Cad, gloss black or body color.

I've not seen many 3A's in original condition.  Looking at Caprio's 3A, the clamps appear to be the same as 3B clamps: plated.

on my 64 3B, the clamps were zinc plated, along with several other items. I used a home-brew zinc plating process and it turned out pretty good. Here are all the parts that I plated:
