I haven't been there for a while ...
« on: January 30, 2023, 08:00:45 PM »
Hello, life has made me move away from my hobby for over two years but I see that the forum is still doing well. Thank you to Derek and Tim. I received some emails about Posts in Russian so I took the time to come and take a look. I see that this is already settled!

I have time again to take care of my websites. And I hope to be able to take time for my Willys!

I leave you here the link of one of my last websites that I had created in August 2021!
https://mywillyscommunity.com/smf/index.php

Take a look at it and tell me if I have to put energy in it or not to its development. My idea was to create a website to join a wider range of Willys lovers.
I never had time to open the access to the forum yet!

Thanks!
Pascal

Willys is better then Ford! Proove? They don't stample their parts for warranty.

FYI... when I tried to access your link provided, I got a message instead saying... "this site is not private" from my 'security' of my system.

Pascal,

I hope you have time to enjoy your hobby!!

If you have time can you look into the problem that Russ, and other folks, are having where they need to log out to see some of the posts?

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Pascal --

Yes, I hope you're able to figure out the problem of the invisible posts in this forum.  I'm sure it is one of the factors leading to a decline in activity in the 3A and 3B Community.

Interesting to see that you're thinking of launching another Willys forum.  I understand the desire to have a forum that appeals to owners of all Willys models (and I love Roberto's graphic at the top of the page.)

But if you're aiming for that wider audience, why split it up into a bunch of smaller, model-specific sub-forums?  I think that too many sub-forums might be another one of the problems with our existing 3A and 3B Community.  Personally, I have always preferred to have different types of posts tossed in together so I can scan them all at once.

The Old Willys Forum has attempted the same thing, setting up a forum with sub-forums for all models, but they ended up with mostly fans of wagons and pickups.

Anyway, I know that other people feel differently than I do, so I wish you good luck with My Willys Community!

One request though: in the Community Hub where you have done a great job of bringing together links to Willys websites and parts suppliers, you have included the links to CJ3B.info and CJ3APage.com within the 3A and 3A Community banner, where they are difficult to find.  I hope you would consider giving CJ3B.info, the grandfather of Willys websites, its own illustrated link.  (By the way, I think that CJ3A.info is also missing.)

Best wishes.

Derek
