1950 Willys Paint Chips w/Formulas
« on: May 05, 2020, 03:30:07 PM »
I know there are paint chips on the CJ3A page but they do not have the formulas.  See attachments, these are the Sherwin-Williams formula chips like what is on the CJ-2A page.  I would email them to the site admin but the CJ3A page does not have any email addresses to send information to.

Cool.  Are these pages right out of a 1950 SW book or something or would any SW dealer be able to pull this stuff up on their system?

These are out of a book from 1950 that I think I found at a swap meet a few years back.  I do not know if Sherwin-Williams can still produce the base pigments for the colors but this would go far to help in making the colors if need be.

That "Tunisian Red" looks interesting.  Anybody seeing this ever seen a vehicle this color?  I guess it was just the truck and wagon (not 3A or 3B), but I don't recall ever seeing a photo of it.  Always liked the Luzon, but darker looks good too.

To the left of the paint chip it lists the applications for each color.  Other colors we are familiar with list "Jeep" but Tunisian Red only lists other Willys vehicles.
