Hey Mac.

Your photo puzzled me. I went out to look at mine, then got more puzzled. I scrolled back and looked at your #10 photo on Photobucket and it seemed as if the seat frame or the tank is mis-positioned or too large. The tank looks just like mine.

Is the seat frame a new repro? I must warn you, I have 2A seats in a 3A Willys, but they bolted right up in the same holes. I haven't seen a 3A seat up close, and they are different than mine, but your seat frame seems too wide and maybe too long. At the front, top, just before the curve down, I measured 20 1/2" from outside of tube to outside of tube.  Is the rear wheel house a 2A?  They are larger and that may push your seat too far forward.

Here are a couple photos of mine.

I know I'm not helping. Perhaps a 3A seat owner will chime in.

I've been puzzled for a long time. I sent back the original frame I bought and they sent me another one. Same problem. The inner fenders are 32 inches which I think indicates 3A. I know something is not right here which is in keeping with the rest of the Jeep. It looks like a new floor pan was welded in at one time. What next!!

The right side leg should sit outside of the gas tank. That hole under the leg doesn't belong there.

Is it just me or is your toolbox floating on the center side and not welded down?

The toolbox is not welded down in that pic. there was another gas tank under the pass. seat and I took it out and got a toolbox. This made it possible to have the proper passenger seat as the hinges bolt to the toolbox.

Here is a pic of the gastank door on the pass side. I have removed it and and welded it up.

Tip:
To have pics show up here, surround them with url]enter link here[/url (put the brackets also on the ends. i cant get it show here right if i try to give an example)
Photobucket makes it even easier. There is a box called 'links', click on 'IMG Code'. It will copy the wording for you then you can paste it in your post.

Mac, Is that a fuel petcock or spare tank manifold on the floor between the gas pedal and tank in pic#2?

It was afuel valve to switch tanks. Both tanks were full of rust so I got a new tank and eliminated the valve.
