I finally got sick of my crap brakes in the Jalopy. I have 11" drums and hanging pedals, but the MC was too small for them. I was working on my TJ and looked at the MC on that and thought, "huh, that might fit!" I scored a real nice one from the local pick-a-part.

The firewall was so hacked up that I couldn't use it. So I chopped that area out with the plasma cutter.



I made a new plate up with all my holes and everything. And perfect! That thing fits in there just right with just enough room left for the clutch MC to squeeze in. Tomorrow, I'll finish the plumbing and see how well they work!

Did the MC/booster come out of a WJ?,,,and what mods to the pedal did you have to do?

My Jeep had the AA hanging pedal kit in it already, so I just had to figure out where to put a bolt to connect the pedal arm to the brake cyl. pushrod.It came out of a grand cherokee, but a TJ one would work better. I had to add some 10psi residual pressure valves though. They are the two red things on the brake lines by the MC.

WhaT did before welding in the new plate was I bolted my pedals and MCs to it so I could figure out all the linkages before final installation. Worked great!

Nate Photobucket lost/misplaced/stole for jeep * sites/or whatever your pics.. If you can resize and download as an attachment it may be the way to do it for a faq post anyhow.
