Looks solid for the price. Great contrast pic of old and new in the driveway. I'm guessing the chain is because they have the wrong bushings and shackles in the eyelets, and definitely have play in those bolts, so they are maybe trying to keep it 'squared up' to the pivots, that hopefully have the correct bushings for alignment there. Along with the "Jeep" stamp, I'd say it is an earlier model that should have the "U" type shackles and big bushings. The older pics kinda look like the front may still have them? All considered, and it runs and with a title, IMO you are in good "investment shape", and for it's age "used", it is too. My floor was crushed some what in places, even had holes punched thru it, and that was a "chore" to straighten single handed. That might be easier and quicker to get a "replacement floor". I removed the axle, placed plywood weighted down with concrete blocks for resistance, and laid on my back and hammered it up. Note, wear goggles, and ear muffs, and keep your mouth shut!!! Then I placed it under the floor with the body weight laid down on it to shape from the top, using "filler pieces" in the raised ribs from below, and repeat STAT. It was NOT fun, or quick to get it smooth. Someone holding a "shaping dolly" instead, would be a BIG HELP! Enjoy the challenge.
