I bought this on ebay.  represented as  below.  Its gonna be a few days before its shipped up to idaho, in Grand JunctionCO right now.  Ebay is a risk, I know, but all the feedback, pics etc., lead me to feel confident.  Click the link for the slideshow of the pics.  Didnt want to use up forum bandwidth..."

IN DRY LAS VEGAS AREA STORAGE FOR MANY YEARS. THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT AND THE MAIN WIRES ALL REPLACED, SHOCKS, BRAKES CYLINDERS, STARTER REBUILT, LINES CLEANED, NEW GAS TUNE UP, CARB CLEANED, RADIATOR CLEANED OUT. STATRED RIGHT UP AND IS A GREAT RUNNER WITH NO SMOKE OR ISSUES INTERNAL WISE.

VERY ORIGINAL RARE JEEP WITH 4X4 HUBS REBUILT. GREAT SOLID JEEP TO RESTORE COMPLETLY, OR JUST DRIVE AS-IS RIGHT NOW. SEEMS TO BE ALL THERE AND IN ORIGINAL CONDITION. SOFT TOP BUTTONS ARE GOOD AND DOORS FUNCTION GOOD ALSO. WINDOWS DROP DOWN AND TOP CAN BE CAYNOPY OR FULL, WINDOWS ARE CLOUDY. ENGINE RUNS GREAT, ENGINE INTERNALS LOOK ALL NEW AND THE CYLINDERS PISTONS ARE CLEAN, ENGINE REBUILT FEW YEARS BACK WITH LOW OR FEW MILES. 4 CYL. (FUEL PUMP MIGHT NEED REBUILT SOON THATS ALL WE COULD FIND AS A MINOR ISSUE). ORIGINAL STARTER WAS JUST REBUILT. SHOCKS, HUBS, ALL NEW. BRAKE CYLINDERS NEW. HARD TO FIND THIS CONDITION WITH ALMOST NO RUST AT ALL. TWO SMALL THIN FORWARD BRACES NEED RUST REPAIR AS SHOWN AND THAT IS ABOUT ALL,- RUST WISE. HAS SOME WELDING, SOME PATCHES, IN PAST BUT STRONG AND MAINLY ORIGINAL CONDITION. SEATS ARE GOOD. DASH IS GOOD."

Looks good...all the parts are there..nice steering wheel!

Gauges are mixed. My temp gauge looked just like that and I took it apart and bent the internal tube until it read correctly and it still works fine...

Depending on your plans, it looks like you could drive a little, fix a little etc.

My CJ-5 spent it's entire life in Nevada except the last 20 years in Idaho. It too has a little rust in the hat channels.....with that wood stiffener in there they were designed to hold water and rust!

I am kinda busted up, just finished my 30 something-th surgery. Knees, back, shoulders, all sorts of stuff.

My hope is to be able to get out as much as possible, doing lil projects here and there.  I have always wanted to do a full resto, but that aint in the cards for me.

Hello Gents,
It has been a few years since I have been to the 3apage.  Good to look back through the posts and see some old familiar names.  I was quite a regular visitor/poster here 10 years ago when I was rebuilding my 1949 CJ-3A.  Was onboard nearly daily for 5 years.  Then I haven't been here much for the past 5 years.
I have known and visited with 1955CJ-5 more than a few times.  RDWII, you are new.  Looks like you have a good Willys Jeep just as it is.  I like all flat fender Jeeps, any condition.  Good luck with it.  Keep us posted.
