More similarities.....but how many ways can you build an L-head four cylinder engine?

Here is another special model a feature....

The exhaust manifolds "sag" at #4 because of the weight of the exhaust pipe and muffler...

So then the ports don't line up and well it goes on and on....but fortunately there are very well made nice fitting repros available...

I decided to remove the 4-speed heavy Model AA truck transmission and will replace it with the normal Model A 3-speed...

You will see lots of similarities, and many differences...like square cut gears...and no syncro hub...every shift is a double-clutch, up or down...

Am I the only one to notice that your pickup has the truck 4 spd transmission in it? Was that a factory option? All I ever saw was the 3 spd.
