Blade Question
« on: April 08, 2024, 01:41:28 PM »
Has anyone ever changed their stock 4 blade fan to a 5 or 6 blade? Wondering what the positive or negative results would be. I was just thinkling about pulling more air thru the radiator. I currently have a shroud but again just wondering.

I know this is late reply, but 50 years ago, I had a 3B that I put a flex fan on.  It was loud, but very effective at cooling the block.  I've seen flex fans t O'Reilly's, so I think they're still available.  It's not stock but if that's not an issue...

There's a reference somewhere that explains the fan only helps at idle or low speed.  Once you have some forward speed, the cooling is from air flow and cools more than the fan could.
