Hi all,
I was working on my CJ3a the other day, and found this piece sitting on the floor. I don't remember taking it off, or if it's even a part from the Jeep.
Though maybe if I took a picture of it, one of you Jeep veterans might recognize it. There's nothing worse then putting something back together, and realizing you forgot a part....LOL.

Spare parts...... after the rebuild. 

While others can identify better than me, to help this process along, can you measure it?

What parts/ components were you working on in that area before the discovery, i.e. wheels, clutch, etc?

But what is a transfer case snubber. The only thing I removed from the transfer case is the oil pan to clean out the sludge, and inspect the gears,(which looked great)

Snubber is also called the insulator and it is used to fasten or mount the transfer case to the crossmember.
