I got a tool assortment for my Cushman and variety of brands so I wanted to see if I could get them looking sharp. I have been wanting to try my hand at Parkerising something and figured why not. Bought solution from Midway and tried it out. Fairly pleased and did 20 pieces and 13 look good and 7 I will redo at some point. I believe it was because I did not get finish removed enough with sandblasting. Follow instructions and it is pretty straight forward.
Starting the brew you put in 1 piece of coarse steel wool and heat for 30 minutes at 180 degree
Used both burners and indirect heat set temp and I have a non contact thermometer to check temp
Put in tools and cook from 5-15 minutes I left them for 15 minutes
finished and rinse in water 1 minute dried and rubbed with Kroil.
