Spring shackle bracket
« on: March 27, 2011, 09:25:33 AM »
At some point in time a previous owner installed JC Whitney springs and shackles on my 3A. I started to install original C shackles and discovered that the PO had cut the steel tube out of the shackle perch and welded in tubes with a smaller inside diameter. :( Can anyone tell me what the ID,OD, and length of the original tube is? I'm not sure if it's easier to repair the existing bracket or replace the whole part.

  • If it's not broke, it's not used.

I had to replace one, and it was very inexpensive.  I think around $16.00, but not sure.  Check at Walks.  Jim
