To keep the roll bar or not...

Fwiw, when I was 17, I was trying to do a three point turn around in dads 2a, when the left rear tire found a ditch I didn't see because of the grass and because I was 17, she did a lazy roll on the driver side and the roll bar was the only thing that stopped it from rolling on top of me. Don't get wrong ,I'm not saying that you need one, or they are a complete cure all. Hell, if i wasnt willing to take a risk, I wouldn't be driving my Jeep. the but they do work. I agree the Jeeps look better without one for sure, I put one on mine.

So what happened? Did you get hit and roll the Jeep?

Think winter, very windy, and a lot of snow, although the road had been plowed so there were just drifts.  Front hubs locked in and in 4x4, just having a lot of fun blowing right through them until one sent the front end nearly straight up.  Did a complete somersault, came down on the right end of the bumper and flipped.  Roll bar went through the top and windshield was pretty much gone.  Rolled back on the wheels and drove it home.

The whole time I was reading that I'm thinking "I bet he was able to still drive the jeep afterwards", and sure enough, I made it to the last sentence.

Sounds like quite a ride and I'm sure it got the adrenaline pumping. Good to know the roll bar did its job.
