Fun in the snow with big toys..
« on: November 04, 2012, 07:59:27 AM »

Spent the last two days fighting traction problems in Devils Lake, North Dakota... 200,000 lbs of truck and trailer with a windtower mid section in this pic making the last 500 feet of the trip to the new training tower for the local college..When this picture had been taken my truck and its base section had already made it up top and unloaded...took teh same dozer to get us up there , then to move the two halves of the trailer together so we could rehook to go home..  It is slowly coming back to me why I finally moved from the snowbelt.. Sure is pretty tho.  :)

more pics at the album..

THe next morning before we moved.. That is "my" truck in front.. I don't drive it, I steer the back end of it on tough corners and help load and unload, along with running my pilot car. We have one final run for the year, to Indiana, and then it is time to work on jeeps!

As I said on the CJ2A site that is some rig and a stressful job for sure. I don't like cold weather or snow even if the job would be interesting. I hope you have an easy finish out of the year and can enjoy working on your Jeeps.

Thank you very much for helping me get back on the CJ3A site.

That is straight north of me in NE.  Tell them to keep it there.  It is also 80 miles west of my brother in Mn.
