FJ-3A????
« on: January 22, 2014, 10:39:06 PM »
Picked this project up and it was advertised as a FJ3 but the lack of information on the web on these things has me confused about which model it is and the year.....

What the heck is that? right hand drive like it is a postal delivery vehicle. Any data tags on it and what engine is in there. Something AMC dreamed up?

This is not the first time I see it!

Look here on ewillys!

http://www.ewillys.com/2012/07/23/fj-out-of-fresno-ca-2800/

Based on what I can see on ewillys, I will say it may be an FJ-6 1965 and up.

An FJ-6 model was introduced in 1965 for postal use, which was ultimately replaced by the FJ-9 introduced in 1975

And there was also FJ-8 , FJ-8A and FJ-8C.....Houaaah!

The previous owner thought it might be a 1965. I believe this one was used for postal because it has the Automatic and Right hand drive, and they probably sold more in 65 because of the need for postal vehicles....Can't wait to get this thing on the road plowing through the air :D
