BODY and trim / Rear View Mirror

 Whats everyone using for a rear view mirror these days?

 I have been riding around without one and looking for an appropriate one that will mount well and not look hideous



 Anyone else experiencing abnormal wear on you Supertraxion Tires?
 All my tires are at 30 PSI, the front tires are extremely worn in the middle... If they were on the edges I would think alignment, center tire PSI, but since all four are the same I can't see that... Anyway, I have about 5000 miles on these tires, I just rotated them today to help me get more miles out of them.

 At this point it looks like I'll get 10,000 miles out of a set of tires

 So I purchased a "cork" gasket from Walks and put it in dry and it leaks no matter what I do.

 Is there a better gasket material? Or should I just get a new one and use form a gasket to help it seal?

I thought I saw someone had posted the proper gauge placement already my with the correct orientation of what wires, lines etc went through the firewall

I can't seem to find it

Would you say that the tunnel transistion piece to the hat channel is butt welded?

I got mine from Classic Enterprises and can't decide if it is supposed to butt together or go over the hat channel...

At the moment it does not sit right trying to overlap it. But I hesitate to trim it back without asking

 If someone could post pictures of the cross tube assembly I would appreciate it. I am specifically looking for the washer orientation.

 Also any tricks to the brake line clips? Been wrenching my whole life pretty much and these pesky things have me scratching my head.  :(

 I am far from needing this information but I can't help but wonder if anyone is running with waterless coolant. Its supposed to hep eliminate rust and corrosion from the cooling system. Pros and Cons anyone?

I am trying to get the transfer case mount off of my crossmember before I have the frame sandblasted and painted and was going to attempt to reuse it. I have tried a hammer to get the thing off. Is it just stuck with rust, or is there something else I don't know?

 I am sure this question is rudimentary at best, please bear with me.


Anyone have any idea the correct die size for the steering shaft? Getting the steering wheel off was a bear, and I need to clean up the threads some�

 Also, I need a steering wheel if anyone has one out there� completely shattered�

EVERYTHING ELSE, General tips / Driving a 3A

So, having never actually driven a 3A under power, or any older Jeep for that matter. What will be the proper 2 wheel drive shift arrangement? I am assuming left shift on Transfer case in the "Out" position and then the right shift in "Neutral"??

Thanks sorry for the elementary issue, but I need to ask... Will be test driving within a few weeks I hope.

Gearboxes and axles / Spindle Attachment

I am having a serious brain fart. I cannot remember if there is anything like a gasket of some sort that goes between the spindle and the steering knuckle. I have not thrown away any parts but I don't have anything that looks like it would go there. The surfaces look way to clean to have not had something there.

Also, the bushing in the spindle seems to have some weird grooving is that normal

Anyone here rebuilt the Clutch Cross Shaft? One side of mine I can compress in and out, but the other is rock hard..

Any lessons learned would be helpful

Engine compartment / Fan shroud screws

Since I was not there when my cousin removed the fan shroud, I have no idea what fasteners to use to mount it to the radiator, does anyone here have the screw specs?

Looking for pics of the wiring harness from the taillight to the front. Any information would be helpful... Especially area from behind the master cylinder forward.
