Willys photo and story threads... / Last Summer Driving
« on: May 15, 2020, 09:14:17 PM »
I love driving my M606 without a top and with the windshield down.

But then the covid 19 arrived and for 60 days we have been under quarantine, and this will last many more weeks...

It will be time to return to drive my m606 again...

Be carefull with the covid!

Hi
Maybe IAD 4008 ??  ::)

Hi Larry, how are you?
We have seen how a CJ2A has been transformed by the owner as an MB, A Cj3A as an M38, a CJ5 as an M38A1 and a CJ3B as an M606.
Everyone does what they want with their vehicle, but the idea of this Post would be to call things for what they are, Civil Militarized by their own owners. Different, it is the case of the M606 that was militarized under military requirements and by its manufacturer.
Maybe I am very purist and it is not my desire to offend anyone. Know excuse me.
Best regards!

Hi Rus! Thank you very much for the explanation and link.
The wiring asphalt loom of which point to point must be installed in the chassis. Enter to this hole too?

Spare tire carrier on reinforced tailgate found in DOD 02-1967 M606

14
According to my records, until DOD 10-1966 the spare tire arrived installed on the right side as well as a jerry can holder.
After DOD 10-1966 it would have arrived with the spare tire and jerry can holder in the reinforced tailgate like M38 jeep.

Hi rus and Ken, Thank you!
I took the image from the web to specify what I mean. It is not my jeep.
The question also arises because my rear harness is about 4 inches longer. It is wavy inside channel C of the frame.
Does the cable run along the top or bottom of the c channel?
