Gearboxes and axles / dana 25 axle hub assembly

Hi gang, the hubs on my dana 25 front axle don't look anything like the shop drawings I see. My hub flange is in front of the drum with the studs poking through from the back of the drum. I read an article that taking off the flange nuts was not necessary for brake pad change, with this setup I had to remove nuts and outer bearing. Is this properly set up?

Sorry for my confusion, no jumper needed. It's externally grounded. Just did that to get the right ohms measurement.

thanks, It did help. I put a jumper from the brush to the casing ground screw and got the very reading you see in that tech info. I suspect that the rebuilder of this generator forgot to put in the jumper.

the engine sits in a 71 jeepster commando I picked up for a plow vehicle. My son drove it his junior year of high school then took it off the road.

Hi gang, does anyone have an idea what a block #with a 4J is? I've read other areas talk about a 4LR as a replacement engine. This motor sits in a jeepster  commando, not sure if it's the original frame though. If anyone can shed some light, thanks

Thank you all for the encouragement. Yes, I've visited all the pages and then some, as all of you have too. I think timing is off a bit. Have spark, need to check where compression is though. No fire yet.....

to my sadness and not as knowledgeable as I am now, I had joined the 3a community thinking that's what I purchased. Had body tags and this and that related to 3a but not a 3a. The engine, windshield and maybe something else is, but the body and frame are a 2a. Question, do I remain a 3a member or convert to a 2a member or both?

Aboyandhisdog, I like that name. research shows a black windshield is on the jeep. I'm finding out that i have a cj3a frame, motor and t-90 transmission. Not sure what the transfer case is yet. However it has a cj2a tub attached to it. I still love it though.

  Hello everyone, Mya name is Lawrence from northern New York. I'm working on a 52 3a, have a 71 jeepster commando and a 70 j10. all in various states of help. Look forward to reading and writing for more info.
