That's a cool 4WD racer.
Back in The day, I had a 1960 wagon built as a western desert racer. It had all the contemporary mods.  Killer V8, 4 speed, locker diffs  etc.  It even had an overdrive unit in the rear drive shaft.

I recently acquired a CJ3a that has a Mustang independent front suspension (yes it's 2WD), a small block Ford V8 with a C4 automatic trans and a Toyota 3/4 ton (6 bolt) rear.� It also has a serious roll bar.
I bought it because I'm an old hot rodder and I love flat fenders.
The PO didn't know anything about it's history
Anyone have any idea why someone would build this?� Any insight will be appreciated.
I'll post some pictures as soon as I learn how.

New to the forum but not to Jeeps.

Receintly acquired a 51 CJ3a project.

Currently finishing a total rebuild of a CJ7.

My dad bought an MB in the mid 50s and I just sold it a few years ago (big mistake).
