thanks again for all the great advice! it's really helped. I contacted the guy in the hopes of at least calling me to discuss him buying the jeep, but he hasn't emailed back in about a week. In addition, it didn't "feel" right because he didn't want to meet me in person, he wanted me just to accept the money and let the jeep get picked up buy a mover.

ok yea thanks for all the responses! its been a real help! the jeep has current registration and a clean title, but i don't have a bank account to link to my papal. the guy is in Washington and just wants to have a mover pick the jeep up.

someone recently offered to buy one of my jeeps from me. The guy said that he will pay through paypal and once the payment is recieved, he will send down someone to pick up the jeep. this is the first time i will be selling a jeep and i don't know if the way he wants to do it is a legitimate and safe way to sell my jeep to him. What should i do?

I can't seem to down shift into second gear. I can shift into and out of second easy enough. It's just bothering me to why I can't downshift

so i picked my first jeep in august of this year (my first car). Her name is eileen. from the song by Dexys midnight riders. the story behind that is that, when I was driving home, I broke down and had to call my friend for help, and when he pulled up he was playing that song. So from that point on the jeep's name was eileen.

As much as i'd like to say I like having the power from the v8. It's killing the transmission. Also when the guy put the v8 in it, to fit the radiator he bugged the headlights out. Which has kinda started to grow on me. I'll get a pic posted today

My 1950 CJ3A has a 1964 ford 260 v8 in it currently. I have been playing with the idea of swapping it out with a buick v6 or try to find the L head motor to put in. What should I do?

My names Matt, and my obsession with willys started when i hung out with my friend who has a ton of willys vehicles. He's got a 42 willys mb, 1952 willys jeep, and a 1952 willys pickup. Right after my 18th birthday i went out and bought a 1950 CJ3A for a grand. I'll definitely post some pics. It's a project, but i love her for what she is.
