Does anyone know if an M38 is the same frame dimension wise as a CJ3a frame.  Looking to make a welding jig and need guidance.

Thanks

The frame color was actually gray in the photo.  It has since been repainted black.  The jeep was originally red but repainted by my father-in-law brown.  The color that you see in the picture is actually the faded brown which looks greenish.

Hello,

I wanted to introduce myself; my name is Kris and I live in Florida.  My wife and I are the proud owners of my wife's late father's 1950 CJ3a.  We have had it since 2008 and it has been a long slow road to bring it to life.

My father-in-law was a McGyver type of guy who used his jeep for utility purposes.  It was his hunting ride as well as the tour bus to take the family around the Arizona desert.  He retrofitted the jeep with a 2.0L pinto engine and we are looking to restore the Jeep with his modified flair combined with a stock look.  Determining what this is has been tricky.  We do know we will end up with a Pinto modified jeep in the end.

Thanks and I look forward to the knowledge this forum will provide.
