First Edition High Hood Flat Fendered CJ3B from a long time elderly owner.  Has a Hard Top, Poor Body but usable, L-134 Engine, Runs Very Well, Brakes work - probably need adjusting, Even the heater works, Stock wheels w/ spare, Ready to go mountain climbing. All gears seem nice & quiet. Make it fancier & better as you go. It's in Central Maine and Sold with a Bill of Sale as Maine is a non title state.  You arrange shipping and your state regulations. It's in storage and can stay awhile upon agreement.  I bought a fancier one that better suits my health restrictions. $6500

I have a John Deere Green CJ3B, High Hood, Frame off restored by an old Jeeper whose health failed and couldn't quite finish. Needs nose painted and other minor detailing. All the chassis is done, many, many, new parts, 5 new NDT tires. Runs, drives, stops. I was going to hire it finished but came across a nice driver quality red one. These last Flat Fenders are very hard to find, I just got too many. It's in storage and can stay a while if needed. Send your inspector. $9000 (try to do one for that)

What a Hershey Meet we had this year, All SUN, no MUD!  Sure enjoyed talking Willys with all who stopped by.  Got the Roper Post Hole Digger in from Western PA and it was a real hit at the show.  I'll try to post a pix, but usually can't, so email me if you want to see it.  glenns@tdstelme.net    Glenn

Hello, I'll be at AACA Fall Meet, Hershey, PA at RNH 33-34, Red Field. Hoping to share Willys stories with other CJ3A Page members. If any travelers are running PA Pike (I-70 / 76) to Hershey, I have a Willys Jeep 3 Point Hitch Post Hole Digger, Newgren type, located just east of Pittsburg near the Pike. I'd love to pay someone to pick it up, ( 4-5 pieces, est. 250lb. total). Been an eventful year in Willys World, come by and visit. Glenn, glenns@tdstelme.net 207-491-1234

PAST EVENTS: / Nellybelle Will Attend Great Willys Picnic
« on: June 03, 2011, 07:42:59 PM »
I just received a commitment from Pam Weidel that she and John B. Haines IV will bring Nellybelle out to play at The Great Willys Picnic in Lansford, PA on Sunday, June 12, 2011.  This will be, I believe, the first all Willys event for Roy Rogers famous Jeep since Ms. Weidel purchased it last summer.  Nellybelle was at AACA Hershey last October and resides permanently in Mr. Haines Race Car / Truck Museum in Pennsburg, PA.  Don't miss being there if you are anywhere nearby.  I'm traveling 500 miles to be in the middle of this Willys spectacle.

Maybe you are doing a show restoration of your CJ3A and wondered where to get a top quality reproduction wiring harness, one Made In USA like the original.  Well, Derek Redmond from The CJ3B Page, stopped in Smithfield, Maine for an overnighter garage tour along with exploring the neighborhood.  One of our activities was a visit to Vintage Wiring of Maine just down the road in Oakland.  Derek has just posted a report on his site and included, if you open a link, is a shot of my CJ3A with Newgren Buzz Saw.  Also a question you might have wondered about if you have an original floor pan.  Take a Field Trip in Central Maine with Derek and I at:

Hi, I think your engine started out life in a Willys Pickup, thus the T in your number.  Go to "The CJ3B Page" and I'm pretty sure you can sort it out.

Hi all, We have been working hard to learn more about the DJ3A and trying to assemble a Production / Survivor Chart. We now have much of the production info to the end in either late 1964 or early 1965. We are very involved on The CJ3B Page DJ3A / Surrey Forum. Many of these bodies found their way onto CJ frames. For that reason I'm happy to get more folks involved. 56337 numbers were the Willys nomenclature number for the DJ3A from 1956 to 1963 and did not specify what level of trim. In late '63 at model changeover to '64's the prefix changed to a Kaiser based number, and a little more specific info surfaced. 8202-23567 is a documented 1964 base model DJ3A built in Oct. 1963. We have a very few of these Kaiser numbers. Real 1964 Surrey models show the nomenclature number as 8204 and have at this time two documented survivors, 8204-24210 (built late April 1964) and 8204-24238 ( Built May 1964). I have one documented 8203-23867 DJ3A (Built early Jan. 1964). Supposedly the number 8205-XXXXX was used, but no examples have surfaced. The last known documented DJ3A at this time is 8202-24684. This may very well be the last DJ3A built probably in Jan. 1965. (Dec. '64 numbers were 24638 to 24641) As you can see this is 43 units later than previously known. We know that DJ5 production started in Feb. 1965. Please help us Willys Historians understand more about these Willys outcasts and check your Serial Numbers. Maybe you have a DJ3A body on a CJ3A chassis. Email me with information you may have: glenns@tdstelme.net Thanks, Glenn. Also if you would like a chart as it exists now, just understand it is changing as info comes in.

Ok Bob, Found the source of my thinking and where I went wrong:  http://www.cj3a.info/cj3a/date3a.htm   In the discussion about engines it was stated that several transition blocks had been found, and then you chimed in that in your new book there are several more inconsistencies that have surfaced.  I missed getting your book at Hershey.  Need to get with the program.  Someday we will all learn not to take Willys Production Data too seriously.  Just when we think something is cast in stone,-------.   Thanks for all you do,  Glenn

Thanks Bob, I thought I had a Service Bulletin with that number change. I'll have to go back and see where that info came from. If I'm not mistaken, I remember a starter change with that block change. Right?

Hi Paddy,  Several of us are watching your posts about your nice original CJ3A.  We want to see that engine number.  Go real careful here. NO WIREBRUSH.  WD-40 or another penetrant and a toothbrush, use several applications and don't hurry.  CJ3A engine numbers started at 3J10001 with block casting #641087.  In 1952 there was a block casting change to 804380 @ unit # 452-GB1-30973 with engine # 3J130859.  Get us pictures.  Thanks for adding to CJ3A knowledge.  Glenn
