"Modifications"-- Technical Questions, Answers, Incites / Affordable Diesel in a Flatfender

I have a 52 CJ3A I am working on fixing up.  I currently have no engine, transmission or transfer case.  I would like to go diesel, and I would like to do so for the least possible (hoping to get the engine and trans from a pick and pull).  What would be recommended options?  I am hoping to use this jeep mainly as a daily driver around town, and I don't want to do any major changes to the engine compartment so that it will fit.

Hi All, excited to be a part of this forum and looking forward to your wisdom and insight.� I am working very slowly on a 52 cj3a.� Currently in the tearing appart process, but excited to move forward.
