Thanks for the MVPA suggestion....sent the NC club an email.

I've never rebuilt an engine and don't feel good about learning on the old L134.  Rather get it done right and worry about other projects.

So does anyone know of a good engine shop in NC?

Thanks,
Keith

Hey CJ-3A,

Looking forward to learning about CJ-3A Jeeps.  I owned 2 TJs in the past, had to sell the last one(along with other toys) when my wife and I found out we had twins.  Well, fast forward, itching to get back into Jeeps and my father has his old CJ-3A sitting in various stages of restoration.  He's never going to finish it and said I could have her  :)

It's a '49 that my grandfather bought in '51.  My father drove it to school as a teenager.  It then sat, rusting away until about 10 years ago.  Frame and axles are restored, new tub (not a "CJ-3A" tub, but oh well), the engine/drivetrain is currently in pieces along with missing a lot of misc parts.  Has a long way to go, but will be a nice Jeep when done.

I'll take a few pics this weekend and post.

Thanks,
Keith Stephens
