Russ,
Thanks for doing the research on these plugs and posting the modern part numbers for them. 674268 is indeed the Cowl Pillar Plug. Interestingly these rubber plugs first appeared on the CJ-3A about December of 1950. Prior to that the hole was filled with "GM-438445 Bolt, hex hd., 3/8"-16 x 1-3/4" Front floor front strainer to floor pan", along with appropriate nuts and stamped pal nuts.

The Willys Picnic is just a couple weeks away!! Get your Jeeps ready, gather up those old parts to sell, and come on out to the largest Willys gathering in the country.

Please plan to support The Wanamaker Kempton and Southern Railroad. They allow us to use their property for The Willys Picnic at no charge. Ride the train, purchase breakfast and lunch at the food stand, visit the gift shop, or at least make a donation to the Railroad.

See ya all there!!

EVENT SCHEDULE / The Great Willys Picnic, Show and Swap Meet 2025

The Great Willys Picnic, Show and Swap Meet
Sunday June 8, 2025 from 9 am - 2 pm at the Wanamaker, Kempton & Southern Railroad
located in Kempton, Pennsylvania

It's time to plan for the 25th annual Great Willys Picnic, Car Show and Swap Meet, the largest Willys event in the Northeast. All vehicles are welcome: stock, modified, projects, CJs, Wagons, Trucks, Jeepsters, Military, Cars and even GPWs! Pre-1970 Willys vehicles are eligible to win door prizes and great Raffles are available for everyone. The Jeep Field is open for showing all more modern Jeeps. There is plenty of space for selling your spare parts in the swap meet area. Bring your Willys memorabilia and interesting parts for show and tell. Be sure to arrive early to have enough time to see all the Jeeps before the door prize winners and raffles are announced at 2:00 PM. Bring your own picnic lunch or purchase food at the refreshment stand. This event goes on Rain or Shine.

The Picnic will be held on the grounds of the Wanamaker, Kempton Southern Railroad http://www.kemptontrain.com located in the scenic village of Kempton, Pennsylvania. This is a great setting to display our classic Willys vehicles, as well as entertainment for the entire family. Also on-site is the Schuykill & Lehigh Model Railroad Club's HO model train display. Please support the Railroad and take the optional train ride for a very reasonable fee.

As always the Willys Picnic, Show and Swap is free. Do not fall for any scams, the Willys Picnic is FREE. There is no preregistration.

Nice CJ-3A! Do you think it was originally a military Jeep in Brazil?

There is some good information about rear seats on The CJ-3B Page in the following link in case you have not seen it. Unfortunately the article does not show any springs.

The carburetor is for a CJ-3A and the distributor is for a Henry J. CJ-3As don't have vacuum advance distributors and Henry Js do. It is a mismatch of components.
