PAST EVENTS: / 1/12/13 event over....  was CFFC Swap/BBQ

CFFC, IFFC, MVCC, and all flat fender fans,

I am planning on having a Swap meet-BBQ at my shop in Erie, Colorado on Saturday the 12th of January. �All flat fender fans are welcome. �I'll have a small grill going for dogs and burgers, some chips and such. �BYOBeer.
I think we can start at noon. �Finish when we have talked ourselves out of jeep talk.

My shop is at 1109 Telleen Ave., Erie, Co.

Bring what ever parts you want to swap or sell. �Also, If anyone wants to have a calendar signing party we can do that too!

The shop is heated so we can hang out and plan our next events or just BS in all things jeep.
Please RSVP here in this thread so I can have a rough head count.

Can't wait for the warm weather to come!

PS. �Bruce, I have the body stuff you wanted. �Also the radiator swap for the water bag. �I believe Ray will have his GPW block there and the crank and pistons your interested in.

Fall Colors Tour is Sept. 17-23rd.
The Friday ride will be of a nature that will allow you to "test" your rig and make sure it is running ok. �The Saturday ride is the big one! �We will ride all day but with many breaks to soak in the view and to eat.
Other rides early in the week and a final ride on Sunday morning to wrap it up.
You can camp in Mike and Ellen's yard with many other folks or stay at a local motel or B+B. �
For those that have trailer queens or just like to wax your rig and stare at it in the garage, don't worry, the rides are super fun but won't hurt your jeep.
Many have asked about how it runs at alltitude. �No worrys there mate! �They run great and don't have any issues. �No special jets or tune needed. �It's amazing how well they run. �Many different tunes on these rigs and they all do just fine. �
Some worry about having enough gas for a days ride. �No worries there either. �Last few years the ride on Saturday ran from 9 am to about 5pm with about 1 hour of road time and the rest trails. �I burned 5 gallons each time. �If you worry, strap in an extra jerry can of gas but you won't need it.
Our host is on the AlCan MVPA convoy with his electro willys. �You will find that he does a great job of setting up the rides. �He does work for the USFS after all. �We will have plenty of empty seats for those who can't get their jeep running in time. �I will bet that you will have it ready for the next event if you ride along on this one!
Please chime in if you plan to attend so we can have a rough Jeep/Head count.

Hey, it's time to tell the boss your taking off this fall for a flat fender event. �Fall Colors Tour!!!!

If he says no, ask him to come along.
 
Just a reminder so you don't get caught wishing you could go!
 
Back east or west coast? �How about a convoy or car pool?

International Flat Fender Club / Re: Current listings of USA IFFC patrols.

Thanks FBill!  One can tell a true flatty fan when they put in that extra effort to see all fans having fun!
Ladies and Gents of the IFFC,
After much delay, we are building a new website for the IFFC.  This is to be a central location for getting connected with other IFFC members/patrols.  I would expect specific jeep related chatter to remain on the various pages such as this one.  The website is a home for the patrols to post official business about membership and events. 

To get us started, please take a moment and send me your patrols information again.  I would ask for info like who your patrol leader is, that persons contact info, the official region your patrol covers and then some pictures of members jeeps and maybe some event pictures.

International Flat Fender Club / Re: Northstar Chapter IFFC

Just set up a meet at a burger drive in joint.  You will pick up a new member every time.  Or drive in convoy thru town and folks will stop and want to know what club this is.  Another new member or two!
I drove my jeep to our local burger joint on Saturday night.  Had several guys stop in and talk jeep.  Picked up a new member for the CFFC patrol.

International Flat Fender Club / International Flat Fender Club

Hello fellow flat fender fans,
Lew Ladwig here. �A few years back I started the Colorado Flat Fender Club ( CFFC ) and hooked up with fellow jeep fans from around the area. �The club has grown to an email list of nearly 140 folks. �We have held some really fun events and I have made many great friends. �In seeing several other clubs from across the country I decided it was time to form the IFFC- the International Flat Fender Club! �I would like to have other clubs join us as Patrols. �Each patrol would be independant and can do their own thing but could post their events and such with the IFFC and maybe we could even have a big annual event where we get a big turnout from all the patrols. �Currently the CFFC has had folks from 8 different states show up with some travelling from way east of the Mississippi! �
 
In the IFFC we now have about 30 patrols including many US states as well as several countries from as far away as Europe, India and Asia!
 
This club is a no fee, no dues, no cost deal. �I just want to use the net as a common meeting place and a way for all the patrols to hook up with each other and plan some great events. �BTW, you are all welcome to join the CFFC in the Fall Colors tour! �Last years event was great.

The IFFC is for Flat Fender Jeeps. �You don't need to own one, just need to love these old vehicles. �We try to keep the jeeps on the trail to fairly original rigs so we all have a common capability but a built up rig with some modern features is OK too. �Just needs to be a flat fender. �These include Bantam, MB, GPW, M38, Agrijeep, 2a, 3a, 3b. �Oh and the coast guard version of the 2a. �I think I got them all. �Events could be a show and shine or a trail ride or a parts swap. �You decide!
 
Maybe we will hold the first International convention of the IFFC some where here in the Rockies. �Would that be cool to have a few hundred old Willys driving over Rollins Pass during the summer!
