I really enjoy it and it is something different as there was no suppliers in the US for the WWII jeep springs.  The early CJs are very similar to the war time jeeps and the M38/M38A1 shared the same spring design for front and rear seat (short back similar to the WWII and CJ2A rear seats)  The later tall back rear seat is completely different and not much info on the 'fill' material for these. Always up to the task to learn new stuff!

Hello!

Thanks for letting me join.  My main interest in jeeps are the wartime jeeps and early CJ2a's.  I own a 43 GPW and 45 MB.  But my other interest (and business) is making seat for all kinds of jeeps, specializing in making original seat springs.  That is what led me to this forum as I'm looking for information on seat springs, especially the tall back rear seat.

Always looking for original seat springs and seat covers too!

Thanks,

Nick

BODY and trim / Rear Seat original seat spring question
« on: December 09, 2024, 01:05:35 PM »
Looking for some pictures or info on the tall back rear seat springs.  Can't seem to find any info on them.

If anyone has some original springs they would like to share some pictures?  I would appreciate it.

Making seat springs for jeeps is my specialty.  The MB, GPW and early CJ2a stuff I've nailed down but getting into later stuff I'm still learning.

Thanks for the help!

Nick
