I'm helping my daughter rebuild her Grandfathers CJ-3b into a Surrey style jeep. I'm considering 16" rims for a couple of reasons.  Can I get hub caps for 16" rims that have the Willys "W"?  Also in the new rims what would I have to look for to be sure the hubcaps would work?

I found out the electric motors drive gear trains and reversing the current moves them ( I wasn't sure they weren't just solenoids). So they will fail fixed, if power is lost.  Now just to select a safe parking brake switch you can't just bump while driving....

It's a fair consideration and eliminates safety issues of loosing power to a brake while running down the road.

I'm in the process of helping my daughter restore her Granddad's CJ-3B.  Safety is my #1 concern so I've started procuring Disk brake conversion parts.  If I convert the rear drums to disk (I'd like to as it all needs an overhaul and I dislike drum brakes).  The only challenge is getting information on the electric control.  Does someone have some info on the power and control needs of the electric emergency/parking brake?  Also, Is doing only one side with the parking brake or both sides? (Doing one side could cause some differences in rear brake forces too).  I can see a benefit but the cost is more.  Otherwise, I'll rebuild the drum brakes :-(
