Starting a 50' Cj3A restore. Engine is done. All torn down to the frame finally. Hopefully by spring we will have a completed project.

Hi Barry,
Show us what you're working on.
-
Sounds like an ambitious project, Barry and we would love to see what you have going!
-
Welcome and good luck on your CJ. Look forward to seeing your project!

Here is what we started with... the tub is a "bubba" fab from the firewall back. This was all stripped off and dissembled down to the frame.
-
Here is where we are today.. rebuilt engine, transmission, rear axle, new bearings and seals in front axle and transfer case.
Frame cleaned and painted with POR 15. Drive lines rebuilt and installed. Working to finish front steering.

Looking good so far. Looks like you have an early head on your engine.
-
Looks like your having fun, quick question what brand and size tire is the front left.
-
Craig asked about the tire. It is an old Goodyear "SureTrac" 6:00x16. directional. I love the tread, but unfortunately they are not made anymore.
