Title: Another Hello From East Texas
Post by: NETexasCJ3A on January 13, 2018, 02:08:14 PM
So, after lurking here for a bit, I got all signed up.
My 51 CJ3A had belonged to my Grandfather and had been in a storage container on our hunting property in N. CA. I've been driving this jeep since I was about 11 years old. (I'm way older than that now.  ::) ) After he passed, the property had been passed around the family. The Jeep was about to be sold to a stranger. I couldn't have that, so.....
I just recently went out there to bring it home. It's not the prettiest thing on the planet, but at least it's still in the family and being driven. Happy to be here and help out where i can.

That looks to be in really good shape.  Any projects planned  or is it good-to-go?

It's in "good enough to go" shape. The usual oil leaks need addressing and a carburetor rebuild is upcoming along with checking the brakes. I already changed the generator to an alternator. I have some wiring to clean up, but it's all small stuff. I've been out putting around the property having a good time.
