Title: Hello from northern Alabama
Post by: MarkG on December 18, 2016, 08:27:59 PM
I just recently joined the site and looking forward to typing with you all. I have a 1951 Willys jeep which I inherited from my Dad a few years ago and am trying to educate myself on jeeps. It looks like I have come to the right place!!!

Very cool. Looks like a CJ-V35. What is the serial number from the tag on the firewall near the air filter? Do you have more photos?

I don't have the jeep to where I can go check, but my records show a SN of 10148. If I remember right the tag with the SN was missing. A couple of years ago I posted more pictures at this site:

Do you know about what a jeep like this would be worth if I decide to sell it or do you know where I can find that information?

They show up on eBay every now and then. From what I have seen in the past the unique V-35 components are worth more than the Jeep. Due to previous repairs most surviving vehicles do not have those parts and therefore sell for about the same price as a CJ-3A in similar condition.

Oh okay, that makes sense. I'll keep a look out on eBay. Thanks.
