Hi Folks,
I am Ironman51's old man. He has started a restoration thread on the forum so I thought that I would join to see his progress and add a comment or two. He has told you that I gave him the 1951 Willys that I received when my father passed away so he will be the third generation of ownership of this fine old jeep. My father gave this jeep to me and it was my first car in 1971 but before I got my license to drive in 1972 I traded it back to my him for a 1965 Datsun pickup which would go over 45mph and seemed to be a better fit at the time.
Cheers,
Jim

Great to have you here, Jim. Nice to see a family that takes such good care of their toys!

Thanks for the welcome. The old Jeep is going to be a good first restoration for my son. Here is a picture of my Jeep that I have been working on for 11 years. It's not a CJ but it has it's advantages for an old guy.
