I just joined the forum and would like to introduce myself and tell a little about myself.
I live north of Phoenix AZ , in an area called desert hills. I own 3 cj2a's, all are 1946. Two were bought by my dad and his brother, both here in phoenix. I was 2 years old when we drove to town in our 1928 model A ford to get the new jeep. I remember it as it was yesterday! The jeep was in use by our family until maybe 1964 and was then parked and no longer used. The one from my dad's brother had a similar history. My dad passed in 1999 and my uncle passed several ago also. I've started on the repair of my families '46 in the last year and seriously this winter. I don't expect to restore but will put it back in mechanical shape as to be able to use it but will not alter the patina. The 3rd jeep, I purchased recently is basically for a parts donor...it has been substantially modified. My family jeep is absolutely original. That's my story. azgary

Good observation, If it's old and rusty, I like it. The old Ford tractor is my go to tractor.

I've made a change of plans. I've decided to use the chassis from the other '46 Jeep for my project. The one I'll use came from my uncle and had much less use than my family Jeep. I'll be using family's Jeep body though, rust and all (patina) as seen in the photos. We farmed and ranched for many years an the Jeep was our only tractor. It worked very hard for most of its life.
