Over the last 15 years Iï¿½ve owned several Jeeps including a heavily modified TJ and a fully restored Hotchkiss M201 (Willys MB built under licence in France in the 50s). Joining the forum as I am at the very early stages of planning a CJ3A/M38 build (I have a chassis and a front D44), if possible using a 4.3L V6 Vortec from 2001 Chevy Blazer. I know these engines pretty well, as Iï¿½ve recently stuck one in a Buggy that Iï¿½m currently finishing. Looking to make contact with somebody who has already used the same engine in a CJ3A/M38 build as I have a lot of questions such as how they handled an engine height of 32 inches.

Welcome to the site. Garage Gnome has a pretty big engine in a Willys he calls "The Jalopy". I'll bet he'll have some tips for you.
