I will be having my CJ3A frame sandblasted after which I will be spraying with an epoxy primer. That is the easy, no brainer part. I'm interested in people's experience with top coat frame and chassis paints after a blast and epoxy.
A 1k top coat like KBS Blacktop, Chassis Saver, POR Top Coat, Eastwood Chassis Black etc.?
or
A 2k black satin urethane?
The pro/con I have heard before is that the 1k coats can be a little more flexible and less susceptible to chips while the urethane is harder but has a great bond and chemical resistance. I would like to use the same paint to shoot my tranny/trans, bell housing, axles, etc. This isn't a show jeep and not quite a trail jeep, just a jeep I'll take my kids to the beach in, cruise on a nice day, and bum around the odd trail.

Make very sure which ever paint you use over that epoxy you shoot it on well within the recommended top coating time. Otherwise you will have to scuff up the epoxy to get the paint to stick properly.
