Title: OIL PRESSURE GAUGE HOSE DATA NEEDED
Post by: cjbilly on April 07, 2021, 12:15:45 PM
We are looking for the flexible rubber hose for a '54 CJ3B that connects to the engine block. From there, it connects to the hard line serving the mechanical oil pressure gauge. Can't seem to find one at this time.

Could someone please share a good source and PN that they had bought one from? What is the basic difference between the hose for a CJ3A- could it be a length? Fittings?

Thanks!

cjbilly,
My understanding is the difference is in the hard line to the gauge.  The flexible hose is, as far as I can tell, the same.

Notice the title says it's NOT for the CJ-3B but in the description it IS for the CJ-3B.

I did find it hidden in my Parts Manual.

Not the best name for that hose but it is what it is.

Makes sense now- use the same basic hose for both the L and F head block. Any difference in length can be made up in the steel tubing length.

Thank you for the quick response.

It's not a difference between the L-head and F-head blocks that matters - at that point they are the same. The difference is in the height of the body between all of the other flatfender's and the CJ3B.
